TV Inspection Program
The District owns a camera and televising system for video recording the condition of the inside of sewer lines, which of course reflects the condition of the collection system. This camera is used for inspecting portions of our system where breaks or leaks are suspected. We have often used this system to assist homeowners in locating leaks or failures in their lateral lines. When necessary we use specialized contractors who have equipment to televise larger lines and run longer distances.
In the late fall of 2008, we completed televising the collection systems running around the Delavan Lake shorefront.
We found a few serious leaks which have been repaired. Some smaller leaks will be repaired this winter.
We Wish to thank you, the residents of these areas, for your cooperation as we performed this work. Much of this system has been very difficult to access, but with the creativeness and ingenuity of the DLSD field staff and your understanding we completed the project.
