Partnerships

The Lakes Partnership, UWextension, DNR and WAL

The Wisconsin Lakes Partnership team is comprised of three groups.  The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), the University of Wisconsin-Extension (UWEX) and the Wisconsin Association of Lakes (WAL). A very important part of this organization however, is the system of citizen volunteers from around the state. This includes lake organizations, property owners, and local goverments. Anyone who is concerned with the future of our lakes can become involved.

Some of the partnership activities include aquatic plant protection, pollution prevention, water recreation planning and citizen volunteer monitoring.

The Lake Leaders Institute is an important training ground for future lake protection experts.
