Connections

All work done which involves our public sewer system must be completed by a plumber licensed by the State of Wisconsin.  If you have any questions please stop in and talk with us.

New Connections - No Previous Connection

1.  Complete "Request for Sanitary Sewer Service Availability Determination" (see form below).
2. After it is determined that sewer service is available, construction may commence.
3. Complete "Application for Sanitary Sewer Installation" (see form below) and submit to DLSD with required connection fee and administration fee.  The 2023 fee for a new connection is $7,025 per residential connection.
4. No less than one full business day in advance, the plumber or property owner must call for lateral documentation.
5. The lateral may not be covered until properly documented by DLSD staff and a complete lateral drawing is made for the files.
6. Property will be considered a customer for billing purposes the 1st of themonth after connection.

Capping an Existing Lateral

1. No less than one full business day in advance, the plumber or property owner must complete a "Request to Cap a Sanitary Sewer Service Lateral" (see form below) and submit it and the required administration fee to District headquarters.
2. The capping may not be covered until properly documented by DLSD staff.
3. Property will cease to be a customer for billing purposes the 1st of the month after proper documentation of the capping.

Reconnecting a Previous Lateral

1. Complete an "Application for Sanitary Sewer Service Reconnection" (see form below) and submit to District headquarters with the required reconnection fee and/or administration fee.
2. No less than one full business day in advance, the plumber or property owner must call for lateral documentation.
3. The lateral may not be covered until properly documented by DLSD staff and a complete lateral drawing is made for the files.
4. Property will be considered a customer for billing purposes the 1st of the month after reconnection.
